Over the last week, the speculation linking Christian Eriksen with a return to Tottenham Hotspur has intensified.
Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on Spurs’ pursuit of Eriksen.
He has claimed that Inter are demanding a loan fee from Spurs if the North Londoners want to re-sign the Dane but the Serie A giants are not making the same demands of Eriksen’s other suitors.
The journalist also revealed that it is not just the loan fee but also the 28-year-old’s bumper wages that is putting Tottenham off.
However, he did back the Lilywhites to make a genuine attempt to push through a deal for their former star before the end of the month.

Spurs Web Opinion
The only reason we might be looking at re-signing Eriksen as a tempting option is because of the fact that he would be available on loan and we are not in a position to spend big on signings. Otherwise, I do not see him as a good fit for our system and I believe he will continue to play a bit-part role should he return to Tottenham just as he does at Inter at the moment.
