Video: Ledley King calls for calm at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ledley King has called for calm after the club’s indifferent start to the new Premier League season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side found themselves in ninth place in the top flight table going into the international break.

An opening day win against Aston Villa was followed up with a hard-fought point at Manchester City, however, a slip up against Newcastle United and throwing away a two-goal lead in the North London derby to draw 2-2 at Arsenal has seen the club already throw away vital points.

Mauricio Pochettino admitted after the Newcastle loss that his side were unsettled whilst the European transfer window was still open (Sky Sports).

Following the closure of the window on September 2nd, the likes of Christian Eriksen still find themselves in North London until at least January and King is hoping that the squad will now knuckle down and focus on playing matters.

While many Spurs fans would have been hoping that the club would be able to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool, the former skipper believes that a top four finish is still achievable.
