Ledley King has admitted that he was left impressed with Tottenham’s performance against Burnley and praised some of the football which the home side played.
The former defender who is now part of Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff revealed that it had been discussed with the squad ahead of the clash with the Clarets about the importance of winning the second ball to be able to turn defence into attack.
King praised the efforts of Gareth Bale, who was handed a rare Premier League start and justified his selection with two goals and an assist.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a resurgence in the last few weeks after what has been a difficult return to North London.
