Tottenham Hotspur have been in great form over the last few years, finishing in the Premier League top three for three consecutive seasons.
They have also established a current dominance over their Arsenal rivals, consistently finishing above them, and playing better football, in better competitions, with better results over a number of years.
Few could argue at the moment that Arsenal are the better current side, although the old silverware argument would surely come into play.
This year alone, Tottenham are fighting for the Premier League and Champions League in February, making it to the latter stages in each challenge.
Meanwhile Arsenal look set to miss out on the top four, are competing in the Europa League and losing 1-0 on aggregate to BATE, and are out of both domestic cups.
On BBC 5 Live Sport this week, Lee Dixon was asked whether Arsenal and Tottenham had swapped roles in the Premier League, with the ex-Arsenal player bursting into complaint, albeit in good spirit.
