Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Harry Kane’s performance in Tottenham’s 2-0 loss against Sporting Lisbon is concerning.
Antonio Conte stuck with a front three of Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison for the clash at Jose Alvalade Stadium but all three players had off nights.
The Lilywhites’ spurned several opportunities in the second half due to their sloppiness in the final third and they were punished by the home side, who scored two goals in stoppage time.
O’Hara described Kane’s display on Tuesday as ‘poor’ and questioned why the 29-year-old does not have the same appetite for scoring goals in and around the six-yard box as Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
Watch what O’Hara told talkSPORT:
“I’m a huge Harry Kane fan but, for me, he was off it tonight.”
“Look at Haaland! He will score goals as he’s always around the six yard box and I don’t see that with Kane.”

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no denying that Kane was extremely poor on Tuesday. However, he has started the season really well and so, to question his form based on one display, is not fair. Son’s form is a more pressing concern for Spurs as the South Korean looks completely devoid of confidence at the moment.
