Tottenham Hotspur fans were almost left devastated deep into injury time when Raheem Sterling found the back of Hugo Lloris’ net with a goal which would have ended their Champions League campaign.
Sterling’s goal sparked scenes in the home end at the Etihad Stadium which was caught on camera by a spectator.
Sergio Aguero could be seen celebrating with some of the supporters in the front row after they thought they had kept their hopes of an unprecedented quadruple alive.
However, their jubilation was turned to devastation in a matter of seconds when the VAR decision showed that the goal had been chalked off due to an offside decision.
