Video: Manchester City urged not to sign Tottenham man by ex-player

Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate and first-team midfielder, Harry Winks, was linked with a move to Manchester United or Man City this week, with both sides said to be looking at him (The Athletic).

Winks has only played a handful of games under Jose Mourinho so far, and has only played 90 minutes once, coming in the Special One’s first match in charge (TransferMarkt).

Ex-player, Alejandro Moreno, has now told ESPN that Man City should avoid going in for the Spurs man.

He claims: “How is he a better option than whatever Man City have available in those positions?

“Not only how is he a better alternative, how is he any different than any of those guys?

“Let’s just say you think you could see him at Man City, who do you take out?

“Who is he better than? Gundoguan? No. De Bruyne? No. David Silva? No.

“Even if you were to say Phil Foden, I’d rather have Phil Foden down there.

“I just don’t see where he fits in.

“I’m not sure Harry Winks would be a target for Manchester City.”
