(VIDEO) Marcus Edwards impresses once again out on loan

The name Marcus Edwards is never far from someone’s lips when mentioning the talented prospects in the Tottenham academy, but the young prodigy has failed to fulfil his promise as of yet.

There is something about this raw and talented winger that draws people in, willing him to make the next step up in his game.

When arriving at the club, manager Pochettino dubbed him a ‘mini-Messi’, and since then, young Edwards has really failed to make the grade.

Loaned out to Norwich City last season, Edwards was actually sent back to Tottenham early, with reports that his bad attitude was causing problems at the Canaries.

After snatching at his big chance to impress the gaffer, and playing very few minutes out on loan, it seemed that Edwards’ time may be done in North London.

Pochettino is hardly one for handing out third and fourth chances to players who do not put in the effort.

However, towards the end of the transfer window, Edwards was sent out on loan again, this time making the trip all the way to Excelsior in the Eredivise.

The last we heard, Marcus had impressed on his debut for his new club, but how has he been getting on since?

Well, fans over at Excelsior are still raving about their new signing, as he put in another splendid show against Heerenveen this week.

But can the youngster improve his end product, his attitude, and his work-rate to prise his way into Poch’s plans?
