Mauricio Pochettino has provided his opinion on Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino was a VIP guest at the 2019 British Grand Prix Formula 1 event at Silverstone earlier today and was seen at the grid before the race.

The Spurs boss was asked by a reporter about his presence at the motor sport event and followed up by quizzing the Argentinean on whether he believes Eriksen will remain in North London.

Pochettino insisted that he hopes that the playmaker will still be at the club next season but admits that he does not know for sure what will happen.

He said: “I hope he is, I think is he a great player. Christian is one of the biggest talents in football and after five years sharing with him, always I enjoy the way that he plays.

“I hope yes, but you know there is a lot of interest for different players. I hope yes but I don’t know what is going to happen.”

Opinion

Mauricio Pochettino certainly dealt with the reporter’s question in a brilliant manner considering how unexpected the question about Eriksen was. The next few weeks will certainly be interesting.

  1. Eriksen probably will sign- 3 years at 150 pounds per week with a 4th year optional. I think he is beginning to realize that he has been badly duped by Woodward and Perez and has received bad advice from his “friends”.
