Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has claimed that Jose Mourinho is making no progress at Tottenham Hotspur after replacing Mauricio Pochettino as head coach at the end of November.
Merson offered his opinion while appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday show.
After watching the 1-0 defeat to Southampton he described the performance as a team who looked like they did not know what they were doing.
The 51-year-old claimed Spurs will miss out on a top four place in the Premier League this season with the way which they are currently playing.
Merson also suggested that Spurs should make a move for Danny Ings in the current transfer window after describing the former Liverpool man as a player who can play the Spurs way.
The striker scored the only goal of the game at St Mary’s yesterday to take his Premier League tally for the season to thirteen.
