Video: Mourinho accuses Sheffield United manager of playing mind games

Jose Mourinho has complimented Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder for playing ‘mind games’ by putting pressure on his side ahead of the Premier League clash between the Blades and Spurs later evening.

Wilder claimed in his pre-match press conference that this is a match that Tottenham will look to take all three points from.

He also insisted that the return to fitness of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min has served as a major boost to the North Londoners following the lockdown.

Mourinho, while joking about his counterpart putting pressure on his side, agreed with the Sheffield United boss’ assessment that this was a must-win game for the Lilywhites.

Spurs Web Opinion

Chelsea’s defeat against West Ham has given us a lifeline in the race for the top four spots. However, anything other than three points in today’s match will mean that our chances of Champions League qualification are over. With a busy run of fixtures coming up, three points today could give us the momentum we need to go on a run and make up the points deficit to the likes of Chelsea, Leicester and Man Utd.
