Video: Mourinho claims Spurs player is in ‘top 3 in the world’ in his position

Jose Mourinho has showered praise on Hugo Lloris and insisted that the Tottenham Hotspur captain is one of the top three goalkeepers in world football.

Lloris has been in brilliant form since he returned from his lengthy elbow injury lay off at the start of last year.

The Frenchman has helped save the club on a number of occasions this season and has hardly put a foot wrong so far.

There have been some reports suggesting that the 33-year-old could be tempted to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain but Tottenham are said to be keen to hold on to him.

Mourinho admitted that Lloris is the kind of goalkeeper that makes difficult things look easy.

Lloris is arguably the most underrated goalkeeper in world football at the moment. His shot-stopping has always been second to none while he is also extremely quick off his line. The Frenchman has now seemingly eradicated the occasional lapses in concentration that he used to suffer from.
