Video: Mourinho frustrated at yet another slow start from Spurs

Jose Mourinho cut a frustrated figure after Tottenham fell to their first loss since he took over as head coach against Manchester United this evening.

The 56-year-old rued another slow start from his team and admitted that Manchester United were much the better side for the first 30 minutes of the game.

Mourinho insisted that he was pleased with the player’s effort and performance in the final fifteen minutes of the first half as well as the majority of the second half but insisted that it was always going to be hard to come back into the game after conceding a goal so early after the restart.

Mourinho is spot on when he says that the team is reactive rather than proactive in games. We have started sloppily in all of our last three games and sometimes when you give goals away against good teams, it is very hard to come back into the game. Hopefully, the Portuguese tactician is able to fix the team’s defensive frailties given more time.
