Jose Mourinho looked extremely pleased in the post-match interview with BT Sport after making a winning start to his reign as Tottenham Hotspur manager.
The Portuguese manager said he was delighted with the team’s performance in the first hour of the game and claimed that the disappointing final thirty-minute display was down to player fatigue due the international break.
The 56-year-old also revealed that he told Dele Alli during training that he was too good to not be in the England squad and not to be considered among the best players in the world.

Spurs Web Opinion
It certainly does seem like Dele Alli is responding to Mourinho’s words of encouragement. One thing that was clear to see from today’s display was the fact that he has the team working really hard. The effort and application when compared to our displays until a couple of weeks ago, was night and day.
