Video: Moussa Sissoko provides update on his progress after knee surgery

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has taken to Instagram to provide his followers with the latest update of his recovery from surgery.

The French international damaged the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during the 1-0 defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day which was the same match in which Harry Kane tore his left hamstring.

Sissoko’s injury required surgery with the club predicting in early January that he would return to training in early April (Spurs official).

In the video footage which the 30-year-old posted to his Instagram story, he can be seen working with a member of the Spurs conditioning team where he receives a pass and has to change direction before passing the ball against three small objects and returning to his starting position.

Opinion

Sissoko appears to be moving well in the footage which is certainly encouraging for Tottenham fans to see given our recent on-field issues. While the former Newcastle man is hardly prolific in front of goal, his energetic box-to-box midfield displays are certainly missed.
