An emotional Antonio Conte opened up on the COVID outbreak at Hotspur Way to BT Sport this week, speaking before the training ground was closed down.
The first-team section of Hotspur Way was shut down after at least eight players and five members of staff tested positive for COVID-19. Tottenham’s fixtures against Rennes and Brighton have also been called off in the past few days.
Speaking before the closure, Conte claimed the situation was very serious and extended beyond football, asking why he should risk going home and infecting his wife and daughter.
