Tottenham Hotspur superfan Chris Cowlin has made his weekly visit to the site of the new stadium to find out what’s new and what’s different over the course of the last seven days.
There are just 22 days until the first test event is scheduled to take place at the new stadium. The construction site was a hive of activity at 8am, with over 3,000 workers on location at any one time. Work is taking place around the clock, with the first Premier League game taking place against Liverpool on Saturday 15th September.
On the north-west corner of the stadium, paving work is underway outside the ground with some of the staircases already completed. Elsewhere, Tottenham’s new club shop, which will be the biggest in Europe has work being undertaken inside the building which is a good sign – although it won’t open in time for Monday’s new kit launch.
