Video: New Spurs stadium walk around development update

The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium is now nine days over the planned opening date. The delay confirmed by the club via their official website back in August that the schedule had to be revisited due to issues with the critical safety systems.

Work continues around the clock on the construction of the 62,062 seater stadium in order to complete the project at the earliest possible opportunity.

Earlier today, a Spurs fan paid a visit to N17 to provide a visual update on the progress of the exterior of the stadium and surrounding developments including the new club shop, ticket office and Tottenham experience.

The first thing which immediately captures the eye is the testing of the cylindrical LED screen which sits in a glass ‘box’ next to the Tottenham experience.

Elsewhere there appeared to be plenty of workers on site who were undertaking a variety of tasks including work on the roof of the south stand and laying paving outside the west stand.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting a new date from the club on which the stadium will officially open. However, first the club must hold two further test events in order to achieve the safety licence.
