Newcastle United have mocked Hugo Lloris on TikTok for the controversial incident involving him and Callum Wilson last weekend.
Lloris came out to deal with a ball over the top and, after getting a touch to knock it past Wilson, the Frenchman was seemingly brought down by the Newcastle striker.
However, the referee did not signal for a foul, allowing Wilson to lift the ball into an empty net to give the Magpies the lead.
The incident created plenty of debate, with ex-Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster arguing on Twitter that it was a clear foul on Lloris, expressing his bewilderment at the decision.
However, Newcastle certainly do not seem to think it was a foul from Wilson, with the Magpies posting a video on their official TikTok account to make fun of the Tottenham number one.
Newcastle posted a video of the incident with Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire playing in the background, specifically focused on the line “I fall down”, thus insinuating that Lloris fell rather than being brought down.

Even if it were the case that Wilson was not trying to obstruct Lloris and simply had nowhere to go (which I am sceptical about since the Newcastle striker stretched out his arm), it was still a foul as Lloris had knocked the ball past him and would have been first to it.
