There was plenty of optimism among Spurs fans when it was announced in the summer that both Oliver Skipp and Troy Parrott would spend the season on loan in the Championship. However, the players’ fortunes have differed greatly so far this campaign.
Reports indicate that Spurs are set to recall the teenager in January on the back of his recent struggles.
Skipp, on the other hand, is having a stormer of a season and his performances have been one of the key reasons behind the Canaries’ table-topping start to the Championship.
The midfielder, once again, put in a fantastic display for Daniel Farke’s side on Saturday but could not prevent them from falling to a 1-0 defeat against Watford.
He went on a brilliant run at the end of the first half and produced a sumptuous through ball at the end of it, epitomising not only his performance in this game but also his spell at Carrow Road in general.

Some reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho wants to bring in a defensive midfielder to serve as a back up to Hojbjerg in January. However, looking at how well Skipp has done at Norwich, that might not be the wisest of moves. The Spurs academy graduate seems to possess all the qualities to slot into the Spurs midfield next season.
