Oliver Skipp has set his sights on breaking into the Tottenham Hotspur side after committing his future to the club.
Spurs revealed earlier this morning that the midfielder has penned a new contract which will keep him in North London until 2024.
After making just nine appearances in all competitions this season (transfermarkt), the Welwyn Garden City product is hoping to push on and believes that the new deal is a sign that Jose Mourinho trusts in him and is in his plans going forward.
Skipp admits that he is enjoying his time under Mourinho and is improving his understanding of the game due to the extensive tactical knowledge of the Portuguese.
The 19-year-old admits that he looks to the senior members of the squad to learn how they prepare for matches and has been spending more time on the gym to work on his weaknesses in order to improve his overall game.
"Hopefully now I can push on and see what the future holds."
