Arsenal beat the Magpies 2-0 yesterday courtesy of goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Aaron Ramsey. The result took the Gunners to third in the table, thus putting them in the driving seat in the top 4 race.

However, the race is far from over as only 3 points still separate Arsenal in 3rd from Chelsea in 6th.

The result also puts pressure on Spurs before they host Crystal Palace tomorrow, who will be the first visitors to Tottenham’s new stadium.

After the game last night, Mesut Ozil conveyed his delight at the win during the post-match interview, and couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that Gunners now find themselves above Spurs in the table.
