Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt has backed Tottenham’s decision to land his compatriot Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven.
The 22-year-old revealed that he cannot wait to get started in the Premier League in his first interview with the club and Jose Mourinho has insisted that Spurs fans will come to love watching him play (Football.London).
Van Aanholt knows Bergwijn well having played alongside the attacker for the Dutch national side on many occasions.
When asked what the winger will bring to Spurs, the experienced defender initially gave a one-word response – Goals.

The one thing that is clear about Bergwijn is that those that have played with him seem to rate him very highly. It will be music to the ears of Spurs fans to hear so many positive things said about the 22-year-old. Let’s hope he can hit the ground running in North London.
