Video: Patrice Evra offers to resign from Sky live on air after Spurs thrash United

While Tottenham fans have been in delirium since the final whistle at Old Trafford yesterday evening, those associated with Manchester United are understandably finding it difficult to process the 6-1 thrashing.

The Lilywhites dominated proceedings even before Anthony Martial’s red card and showed no mercy in putting the Red Devils to the sword.

One former United star who took the thrashing particularly badly was Patrice Evra, who was doing punditry work for Sky Sports during the game.

Evra has played a part in some big wins against Spurs during his playing days, including the Red Devils’ 5-2 win at Old Trafford in 2009, but he had a difficult time digesting what the Lilywhites did to his beloved United on Sunday.

The former defender offered to resign from his role as a pundit as he went on a furious rant about the Red Devils.

Watch what he told Sky Sports after the final whistle (begins at the 1-minute mark):

Spurs Web Opinion

From the Pedro Mendes ghost goal, Michael Carrick’s dive, to Nani placing the ball down and passing it into the net, Spurs have had rotten luck at Old Trafford for two decades. Yesterday was the day we exerted our revenge and I for one am certainly enjoying the meltdown among the United fans.
