Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur take to the field at Stamford Bridge in just over an hour in what is always a tense affair.
While supporters from each side will not be present at the stadium, the London bragging rights and something more important is at stake, the opportunity for Spurs to extend their lead over Chelsea to five points or for Frank Lampard’s side to overtake them in the Premier League table.
Mourinho suffered defeat on both occasions at the hands of his former employers last season which saw Spurs had to settle for a place in the Europa League while Chelsea qualified for the Champions League with a top four finish.
A panel of Sky Sports pundits were asked yesterday for their thoughts on who will finish higher in the table between the two clubs.
Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has backed Chelsea to once again finish above Spurs after signalling the strength of their squad as the main advantage.
Tim Sherwood, who featured for Spurs as a player and manager agreed with Merson’s prediction and claimed that Mourinho’s counter-attacking style only works with top forwards like Kane and Son, who they need to try and keep fit.
