Pedro Porro has appeared to wave goodbye to the Sporting Lisbon fans following their League Cup final against FC Porto this evening.

The Spanish international was named in Ruben Amorim’s starting eleven for the Portuguese showpiece amid intense speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail reported earlier today that the defender’s proposed move to north London looked to be off after issues between the two clubs as a result of issues with the payment structure of the deal.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano alleviated fears of a collapsed deal earlier this evening when he gave the transfer his famous ‘here we go’ label and revealed that both clubs had reached a verbal agreement and will say farewell to his current teammates.

Judging by the footage, this looks like the best possible evidence that Porro is now bound for Tottenham and the club finally have the solution to their creative problems at right wing-back in what feels like one of the most drawn-out transfers in recent history.
