Video: Perisic scores stunning header for Croatia vs Japan

Ivan Perisic has scored a stunning header for Croatia to level the score against Japan in their World Cup round of sixteen clash.

Croatia found themselves behind after 43 minutes when Daizen Maeida scored just before half time.

A cross into the penalty area by former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren ten minutes into the second half met the head of Perisic from fourteen yards out and he powered his header into the bottom left hand corner.

The 33-year-old has previously proven himself to be a big game player for his country having scored in their World Cup final defeat to France in 1998 and will be hoping to go one further in Qatar this time out.

The versatile veteran joined Tottenham Hotspur last summer on a free transfer after his contract at Inter Milan came to an end.
