Tottenham Hotspur’s newest recruit, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, has now revealed that he prefers to simply be referred to as Pierre when talking socially.
The Danish international was asked what he prefers to be called by a Spurs representative during his first day at the club, revealing that Pierre-Emile was more formal.
Hojbjerg added that when his mother used Pierre-Emile during his younger days, he always knew that he was in trouble.
The new Spurs signing already revealed that his surname should be pronounced Hoy-bee-air.
“The personal is ‘Pierre’
The formal is ‘Pierre-Emile’
If my mother said ‘Pierre-Emile’ I knew I was in trouble!” ?#HøjbjergIsHere ⚪️ #COYS pic.twitter.com/bcYRhuOHFN
