Video: Player admits he was nervous to leave Tottenham

Kyle Walker-Peters has revealed that he was nervous to leave Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.

After struggling for first team football under Jose Mourinho, the right-back joined fellow Premier League side Southampton on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old, who has been at Tottenham since he was just 10 believes that moving away from his home for a spell on the south coast has helped to take him out of his comfort zone.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Walker-Peters admitted that he is enjoying his time at the Saints and revealed he still reports into the St Mary’s outfit despite the current coronavirus pandemic but did contact Spurs to request a delivery of some footballs to help with his training programme.
