Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino must show his ruthless side if he was to return as head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.
The Sun claimed on Friday that Tottenham are keen to begin official talks with Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow to bring the Argentine back to North London.
O’Hara claims that the current squad at Tottenham is done and a complete rebuild is needed to move the club forward regardless of whether some players were a regular under the 49-year-old previously.
Pochettino was said to have been keen to sell Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld after the club lost to Liverpool in the Champions League final in 2019, but was dismissed by chairman Daniel Levy just a matter of months later.
The former Spurs midfielder also questioned whether Pochettino would be the right appointment given he failed to win any major honours during his five-year spell at the club the first time around.
🔥 “If he does come back, he has to be ruthless. The players have got to go!”
❌ “This squad is done, it’s finished.”
🤔 “Is it even right for him to move back? Are we making the right step?”
