While some Spurs fans were far from pleased with the team’s performance against Watford, Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he was happy with his player’s efforts in the second half and that they deserved all three points from the game.
While the Argentine admitted that the players were disappointed after failing to get the win, he insisted that this result will help restore some of their lost confidence after conceding ten goals in their last two games.
The 47-year-old remained confident that the team will be able to turn their form around soon and get back to winning ways.

While Pochettino is getting a lot of flak for his positivity in the post match interviews and press conference, I don’t think he has much choice. The last thing he needs is to be critical of his players publicly as that will only affect their confidence even further. Pochettino needs to remain calm and ensure the team can stop the rot sooner rather than later.
