Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for Dele Alli and Eric Dier ahead of his side’s Premier League derby against West Ham United at White Hart Lane tomorrow.
The young pair have took their chance in the Tottenham midfield this season and have been impressive. Arguably their best performance was when they schooled the Arsenal midfield at the new library a couple of weeks ago.
Pochettino told the press conference: “I think that you can see it was fantastic. Starting eleven for the national team and they play in Wembley against France, an unbelievable team like France and they play like a senior player. Like older player and it was fantastic and we all feel proud for their debuts in the starting eleven.”
“West Ham is a very good team. The results that they got away are fantastic at the moment and it’s a big derby. I know what it means to play a game against West Ham. It’s another tough derby, another tough game. I think that the good thing is that all the players are back from their national teams in a good condition. Today the (means training) was fantastic. The energy and the mental state and now we need to deliver on Sunday a very good game and try to win because for us it is a very important three points.”
