Video: Pochettino refuses make excuses for Leicester defeat

Tottenham failed to capitalise on taking the lead yet again as Leicester City came back from a goal down to get all three points courtesy of second half strikes from Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison.

The most pivotal moment of them came midway into the second half when Serge Aurier put Spurs 2-0 up, only for the goal to be chopped off by VAR for offside.

Son Heung-Min’s shoulder was adjudged to have been millimeters offside by the system, while the naked eye clearly seemed to suggest that Son was level at best.

However, in his post match interview with beIN SPORTS, Mauricio Pochettino has refused to blame the call by VAR for the defeat and said that his side put in a good performance despite the result.

While the offside call was hard to take, Pochettino is right not to blame the decision for the defeat. However, I actually thought we responded well to the equaliser. It is unfair to say that the team capitulated as Maddison scored a worldie when Spurs were on top.
