Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino may have a Champions League to prepare for, but that hasn’t stopped him from tucking into the latest series of Game of Thrones.

The HBO blockbuster came to a conclusion after eight series this month, but many fans were left disappointed by the final season, Pochettino included.

In an interview with talkSPORT’s Laura Wood, Pochettino voiced his frustration with the conclusion to the hit series, whilst also comparing himself to one character in particular.

Jon Snow? The Hound? Jaime Lannister? No, Pochettino reckons he is more like Drogon the dragon!

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I agree with you Pochettino all the hype all the excitement plus the long wait for the last season to arrive. Then it did arrive and it was a total disappoitmet it was like no one knew what to write and the actors themselves didn’t really know what the story was and how the writers wanted the story to be told. It was very disappointing. So Poch you can take your disappointed feeling and multiply it by a billion and that’s how all us Spurs faithfull will feel after our long, long, long wait for silverware if it doesn’t turn out that you know how to write your final scene to your own amazing story. Don’t get me wrong we get chills down our spines every time we say “Tottenham are in the Champions League Finals” but having the squad of players and the way they play with heart and having a manager like yourself who is simply ‘MAGIC’ fills us with belief and hope. So if the final scene turns out like game of Thrones finale did then it will be gutt wrenching for all fans, players, management and everyone involved back at the Lane. SO Don’t Let It Be…..YOU AND THE SQUAD WRITE YOUR OWN FINALE…..AND BRING THAT TROPHY HOME…… COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!
