Tottenham Hotspur’s press officer prevented a journalist from asking Mauricio Pochettino about rumours linking him to the managerial role at Manchester United.
Pochettino who was taking questions at a press conference ahead of the game against Everton on Sunday was quizzed about the Manchester United job, when Tottenham’s head of communications, Simon Felstein refused to allow the journalist from Sky Sports to finish the question.
The journalist in question tried in vain to insist that he had a right to ask the question but Felstein refused to entertain the idea of yet another press conference being dominated by the rumours linking Tottenham’s head coach with the Manchester United job.
Pochettino himself did not refuse to answer the question and instead saw the funny side of what was unfolding. Sky Sports News tweeted out a video of the exchange through their official Twitter account. Watch it below:

Pochettino had already reiterated that he is fully focussed on his job at Tottenham when he was asked about the vacancy at Manchester United earlier in the week.
Since then Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their interim manager until the end of the season.
It remains to be seen who United will go for after Solskjaer’s stint comes to an end but the rumours linking Pochettino with the job don’t seem like they are going away anytime soon.
