Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur were in desperate need of a win last night, both for the sanity of their fans and the hopes of their Champions League campaign.
Fortunately, the Lilywhites were back to their best and managed to thump five past Red Star Belgrade without reply to leapfrog into second in Group B.
Pochettino caught up with ex-Spurs duo Peter Crouch and Jermaine Jenas, as well as BT Sport presenter Darrell Currie, at full-time to talk through the win, the frustrating start to the season, and the players’ day off today ahead of facing Liverpool on Sunday.
“We scored five goals, I gave them the day off.”
“Always rumours complaining about days off, you want a day off? Day off tomorrow.”
