Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has delivered a damning assessment of Jose Mourinho following Tottenham’s 1-0 loss at home to RB Leipzig on Wednesday night
The Bundesliga side dominated proceedings for large parts of the game with Spurs seemingly happy to sit back and play on the counter which left Cascarino was extremely critical of the home team’s approach.
The pundit claimed that the Spurs boss has been left behind by modern coaches like 32-year-old Julian Nagelsmann.
He questioned if the 57-year-old’s tactics were good enough to win titles in the modern era when many top teams play on the front foot.
Spurs travel to Germany next month for the second leg of the round of sixteen Champions League tie looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit.
Here’s what the former Republic of Ireland international said on talkSPORT:
"Jose offered very little in tactics yesterday." ?
"He's been left behind." ⬇️

Spurs Web Opinion
So many pundits are judging our performance in this game without any context whatsoever. We were coming up against a top side who were fresher than us with two of our best players missing and others like Ndombele not being fit enough to play ninety minutes. I actually believe Jose got his tactics and substitutions right and we could have easily nicked a goal back in the end.
