Video: Pundit claims Spurs forward is still ‘underrated’ and makes retirement prediction

Former Chelsea defender Scott Minto has claimed that Harry Kane is still underrated and the Tottenham man will only be truly appreciated once he hangs up his boots.

Kane has not hit his stride yet this season after his move to Manchester City fell through. The striker is yet to open his account in the Premier League this season and has been on the receiving end of plenty of criticism for his lacklustre displays.

Some have even questioned whether the striker is giving his all for his boyhood club after the events of the summer.

While Minto did not deny that Kane’s form has left a lot to be desired this season, he pointed out how many records the Spurs star is on course to break, including England’s all-time goal record.

While Kane will always be held in high regard by Spurs fans, I agree with Minto that he will only get the respect he deserves from neutrals after he hangs up his boots. I fully expect him to shatter both Rooney’s England goal record and Shearer’s Premier League tally.
