The win over Manchester City on Sunday, as well as the 3-2 win over Southampton in the FA Cup on Wednesday, were both extremely important results for Tottenham.
However, it can be argued that the Lilywhites were fortunate to win both matches as City and the Saints had huge periods of control in their respective games.
On the back of Tottenham’s late turn around over Southampton, former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam and former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott talked about the Lilywhites new counter-attacking style under Jose Mourinho.

Spurs continue to under-perform yet pick up results – but will they care?

Spurs Web Opinion
In fairness to Jose, we cannot really be expected to dominate games and play on the front foot when we have so many players missing. I believe it is a great sign that we are able to get over the line without playing well. I believe we won’t see the team tactically adapted to Mourinho’s way of playing until the start of next season.
