Video: Pundit’s opinion on Premier League season might not sit well with Spurs fans

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes that the Premier League and the Football League should play out the rest of the current season whenever it is possible for the game to resume.

The majority Spurs fans wouldn’t have been too disappointed to see the season being suspended given the dire condition the team found themselves in.

The Lilywhites were in the middle of an injury crisis and were struggling to get results, and it is safe to say that the suspension came at the right time for Hose Mourinho’s men.

With a top-four finish looking unlikely this season, the current campaign appears to be all but over for Mourinho’s side.

However, Cascarino believes the season has to be completed in order to make it fair for the teams which are competing in the competition.

Here’s what the former Chelsea forward told talkSPORT:

I agree with Cascarino that playing out the season would be the fairest thing to do. However, given the magnitude of the problem we are facing, it looks like it is going to take several months for football action to resume. If that is the case, I don’t see how they can continue from where they left off this season.
