Video: Rafael van der Vaart sends message to fans ahead of his return to Tottenham

Rafael van der Vaart has taken to Twitter ahead of his return to Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow afternoon.

The mercurial Dutchman will take his place in the legends team which will face Inter Milan in the second game to be held at the club’s brand new 62,062 capacity seater stadium.

Van der Vaart only spent two seasons in North London after arriving on deadline day from Real Madrid in August 2010, but became a firm fan favourite for his memorable displays for the club, especially against rivals Arsenal.

His time at the club can to an abrupt end in 2012 when he moved to Hamburg shortly after Andre Villas-Boas took over from Harry Redknapp, of whom he had enjoyed a fantastic working relationship.

He will get the opportunity to play in front of 45,000 supporters tomorrow when the club hold their second test event at their new home and you can almost guarantee that every single one of those in attendance will be excited by his return.
