Gareth Bale has had a tough time at Real Madrid this season due to several issues both on and off the field. He wasn’t a regular starter under former manager Santiago Solari and has been jeered by his own fans on more than one occasion this season.
Additionally, there were stories in the Spanish press about Bale’s poor attitude, and his team-mate Marcelo even criticised Bale publicly for not learning Spanish in the six years he has spent in Spain.
Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett blasted the Madrid fans for their treatment of the Welshman and said that they must instead be kissing his feet for what he has achieved at the club.
Barnett’s statement appeared to be the final nail in the coffin for Bale at Madrid, as he was linked with a move to several clubs, including a move back to Spurs.
However, things seem to be on the mend now again between Bale and Madrid, as Zinedine Zidane handed the 29-year-old a start in his first match back in charge of the club, as the Los Blocos ended up 2-0 winners with Bale getting on the score sheet.
Now, the club have released a video of the first-team squad engaging in some banter while onboard a plane.
In addition to the conversation sounding a little forced and choreographed, the video certainly doesn’t show Bale’s Spanish speaking abilities in a good light.
