Rennes have this evening arrived in London ahead of their Europa Conference League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.
Video footage from the French outfit’s official Twitter account saw the players getting off their plane at London City Airport.
The fixture has attracted significant media attention after a Covid outbreak at the Premier League saw has seen head coach Antonio Conte left to admit that he was ‘scared’ by the situation which has seen eight players and five members of staff return positive tests for the virus.
As things stand, the match is still scheduled to go ahead under the lights of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with UEFA rules stipulating that a postponement can only be made if a club has fewer than 13 players or no registered goalkeeper available (Sky Sports).
