Video: Richarlison celebrates with pigeon dance only to see Spurs goal chalked off

Antonio Conte handed summer signing Richarlison his first start earlier today in Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League encounter against Fulham.

The Brazilian took his place in an attacking front three alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son as the north Londoners looked to continue their impressive start to the new season.

Richarlison had a good chance to break the deadlock in the first half when he stooped low to reach a header only to see his effort go narrowly over the crossbar.

After goals either side of the break from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane looked to put Spurs in the box seat, Aleksandar Mitrović impressive reply for the Cottagers looked to have made for a nervy last seven minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Richarlison thought he had scored his first goal for the club in the 90th minute when he tapped home Ryan Sessegnon’s cross and ran off by removing his shirt before introducing the south stand to his pigeon celebration.

The joyous scenes were short-lived for the 25-year-old after he was booked by referee Stuart Attwell for removing his shirt and the goal was chalked off by VAR.
