Former Spurs stars Glenn Hoddle and Peter Crouch were part of the BT Sport punditry panel for Tottenham’s Champions League clash against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday.
Ahead of kick-off, the trio discussed the root of Spurs’ poor form so far this campaign and all of three of them made some interesting points.
Hoddle pointed out that the players weren’t playing with the same intensity as they did when Mauricio Pochettino first arrived at the club and also questioned the team’s tactics.
Ferdinand meanwhile insisted that the squad had simply gone too stale and urged the Spurs manager to be ruthless in getting rid of the unsettled players.

It's a stale group of players, the tactics have regressed, when you hear noises in the press you have to get rid! That uncertainty spreads!"@RioFerdy5, @PeterCrouch, and Glenn Hoddle pull no punches discussing Tottenham's failings. pic.twitter.com/pQ0XUNE5r0

Spurs Web Opinion
I am convinced that the lack of pressing from the front in some games is by design as we started dropping off a bit more in some games even going back to the beginning of last season. I am convinced that we will turn our season around once our summer signings settle down and Pochettino finds his best combination.
