Robbie Savage has claimed that Manchester United should try and sign Harry Kane from Tottenham in the summer if the North Londoners fail to qualify for the Champions League once again end the campaig without a trophy.
Tottenham currently sit in 6th place, a point behind United in 5th and four points behind Chelsea in 4th.
Kane has been out with a hamstring injury since the start of January and the Lilywhites’ form has suffered as a result.
Savage believes that Manchester United will still be able to attract world-class players like Kane despite their struggles over the last few years and should make an approach for the England international if the Old Trafford outfit can land Champions League football.
Watch what the Blackburn midfielder said about Kane to BBC 5 Live Sport:
"If #MUFC thought 'do you know what, let's have a go for Harry Kane' – is that beyond the realms of a ridiculous statement for me?!"
Harry Kane to Old Trafford? Could it happen?
Or is @RobbieSavage8 just being ridiculous? 😜#BBC606 pic.twitter.com/7jVBXGafje

Spurs Web Opinion
Although Kane is Spurs through and through, there is always the risk that he will get tempted to leave in search of silverware, particularly if we don’t show signs of improvement. However, there is no way that he would consider going to Manchester United given their current plight. Daniel Levy will certainly make it extremely hard for anyone to complete a deal for Kane even if the striker asks to leave.
