Video: Ryan Mason interrupts player interview with his man of the match verdict

Tottenham Hotspur continued their resurgence under Antonio Conte yesterday with a comfortable 3-0 win against Crystal Palace.

One player who has greatly benefitted from the arrival of the Italian is Oliver Skipp, with the academy product having caught the eye once again.

The midfielder was recording a post-match message for the club’s official Twitter channel in the tunnel area of the stadium when he was interrupted by first team coach, Ryan Mason who uttered the words “Man of the match” before continuing to walk off-camera to the amusement of the 21-year-old.

Skipp was his industrious self in the middle of the park, helping to mop up any loose balls while also helping out with the press, and also had a handful of opportunities in the final third of the pitch.

The decision to send Skipp out on loan to Norwich City last season in which he shone has paid dividends for the midfielder who has jumped above Harry Winks in the pecking order.
