Video: Ryan Sessegnon provides update on thigh injury and his time in Germany

Tottenham Hotspur made the decision to send Ryan Sessegnon out on loan in the summer to get regular first-team football.

The left-footer only managed twelve appearances in all competitions for the North Londoners last season following his move from Fulham (transfermarkt).

Sessegnon’s decision to join Hoffenheim looked to be paying dividends after the England Under-21 international had been holding down a regular place in the starting eleven since early November which saw him score two goals and provide two assists in eleven Bundesliga appearances (transfermarkt).

The 20-year-old’s progress was curtailed when he suffered a thigh injury which has ruled him out of their last seven top flight fixtures but revealed that he is hopeful of being back in contention next weekend.

Sessegnon believes that he has learned more about himself as a person and as a player during his time in Germany and described his time at the club as ‘eventful’ given the fact that he was building consistency with his performances.
