There were absolute scenes in the away end at Selhurst Park when Juan Foyth headed home his first Premier League goal for Tottenham Hotspur.
The defender answered his critics in the best possible way following last Saturday’s match at Wolves where he conceded two penalties in the second half in a nervy 3-2 victory against the Premier League newcomers.
Tottenham’s recent fixture schedule has been demanding to say the least and the frequency of the matches have caught up with Davinson Sanchez who was forced to sit this one out with a hamstring problem.
Foyth lined up alongside the experienced Toby Alderweireld and put in a commanding display in defence.
He reacted quickest to nod a loose ball over the line after Palace fail to clear a Tottenham corner after 66 minutes to send the Spurs fans into a frenzy.
