It was only a couple of months ago that Tottenham Hotspur were sitting at the top of the Premier League table and some were tipping the North Londoners to challenge for the title.

However, that feels like an eternity ago at the moment, with Jose Mourinho’s men struggling to string wins together in the Premier League since December.

The Lilywhites currently sit in ninth place in the table and have a lot of work to do if they are to retain hopes of Champions League qualification.

Alan Shearer has claimed that he believes Mourinho has chopped and changed the team too much recently, which is why the players are struggling.

However, Jenas insisted that Tottenham’s struggles come down to individual errors at the back.

It is clear that the players are lacking in confidence at the moment. We need to string three of four wins in a row to boost morale and get back to our best. Hopefully, the resumption of the Europa League can help us in that regard.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. I agree he keeps changing the side fro game to game. He has no idea whi his vest centre back pairing is. No idea who is his first choice wide right player is. No idea what combination to use in midfield and therefore changes from week to week.
Have we got a settled side, NO CHANCE.

  2. Mourinho hs bern punishing players for bad games.
This gives evertbody the needle and ruins team confidence.
Toby needs to be on the pitch as often as possible he is our only decent ventre back.
Why did they give Dier new contract.
He is a holding midfielder who cant pass.
    Ssnchez needs selling.
We were supposedly looking at Diaz and we ended up with Rodon.
    That sums it up.
